Skiing is always the answer during the winter and luckily Armenia has some of the best skiing Spots to offer. In fact, they might not be that popular internationally but certainly should be, which you can make assure by visiting. One of the best places to do it in Tsaghkadzor. Its name literally means a valley of flowers but during the winter it becomes a valley of skis. It is located at over 1700 meters above the sea level and maintains perfect conditions for most of the season. You can also get all the facilities in the resort.

Not only visitors can enjoy lots of museums and city halls and listen to live music but also take part in the New Year and Christmas preparations. In Armenia New Year is really a big deal so prepare to party. When it comes to Christmas it’s celebrated on 6th January and it’s more of a family celebration.

Among them is Jermuk. It’s a popular exotic venue every traveler should visit, as you can find natural hot springs. Nearby there’s also a ski piste with modern facilities and the Gndevank monastery complex which is also worth to visit.

It is also known as the lake with the soul of a sea. It is the largest water body in Armenia, it offers captivating landscapes all year long. which kills with the scenic views during winter with magnificent and breathtaking Landscape. Around it, you can also find historical monuments that would enrich your knowledge of Armenian history and culture.
